The modern cottage
The goal of this design project was to transform a charming cottage located in Newport, Rhode Island, into a modern living space that harmoniously blended contemporary design elements with the cozy atmosphere of a traditional cottage. This project focused on furniture selections and minor kitchen renovations. The modern cottage concept revolved around a fusion of clean lines, natural materials, and a neutral color palette, complemented by pops of soft accents. Modern coastal furnishings, such as the white sectional, complemented by organic textures like rattan and wood, were key elements in redesigning the contemporary cottage.
