30 Nov Five Interior Design Projects to Add to Your To-Do List NOW
We are heading into cooler (see: colder!) months, plus a pandemic – it’s truly an unprecedented time for this generation! But even though it’s getting dark before 5PM (at least here in New England), we need to keep our spirits up. A great mood booster is tackling an interior design project. I would love to help too – so take a look at the below and let me know when we can get started!
Bedding
“First we make snow angels for two hours, and then we’ll go ice skating, and then we’ll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse Cookie Dough as fast as we can, and then to finish, we’ll snuggle.”
Now is the PERFECT time to upgrade your bedding for chilly, winter nights. The key to staying warm and chic: LAYERS. Lots and lots of layers. Mix your textiles too, and don’t be scared of shaking it up with different patterns. Finally – don’t forget the throw pillows!
Fireplaces
There’s no better place to be from November through February than in front of your fireplace (although Cancún is a very close second). It’s a great project to take on too – but now the question is: marble, tile, crown molding, or stainless steel?!
Room Dividers
It’s more important than ever to separate work and home. A room divider is a really fun, chic way to do this. Just because you’re working in your living room doesn’t mean you need to watch TV or read there too!
Paint
Aegean Teal is just one of my top colors picks for 2021. It’s definitely a great way to refresh during the winter months, but check out some of these other trending shades from Behr.
Seaside Villa
Broadway
Old Orchard
Lighting
Installing a new fixture in your home is a super easy project you can take on this winter. Much like fireplaces, the hardest choice is picking your poison! I’m partial to a hanging pendant myself, but am totally digging these modern takes on the chandelier.
Are you ready to get started on some of these projects? Send me an email and let’s chat!
