Achieve Celebrity Design Style on Any Budget

I’m not sure about you, but I am constantly flipping through magazines like Architectural Digest for design inspiration. Ever wonder what it would be like to have the interior design budgets of some of their featured celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian, Diane von Furstenberg, Chrissy Teigen, and Tom Brady? While we can all continue to dream, I’m here to tell you that an endless budget doesn’t necessarily translate into great style. There are ways to get the “look for less” without maxing out your pockets. My number one tip? Mix high and low. What does that mean exactly? Spend the most money on key items that will last throughout the years such as your sofa and bed. Go budget on other things you can (and most likely will want to anyway) switch out down the road like your area rug, throw pillows, and even lighting.  You can find some great steals out there!

Kourtney Kardashian’s Guest Bedroom

While Kourtney’s sisters are best known for their tabloid exploits and fashion trends, she actually has quite a bit of interior design style! I love the Southwestern look of her guest bedroom, especially the faux fur comforter and aboriginal rug.

Here is a throw version of the faux-fur comforter from West Elm that would look great on a bed or on your couch.

I also found this pretty rug on Amazon to pull together the look.

Diane von Furstenberg’s Living Room

As the designer of the classic wrap dress, Diane von Furstenberg is a style queen. It’s no surprise that her living room is just as classic (but fun!) as her.

The focal point in this room is the painting above the mantle; even if you aren’t an animal print person, there is no question that this beautiful print is also a great conversation piece.

Chrissy Teigen’s Kitchen

Chrissy Teigen’s cookbooks are some of the most popular titles for at-home cooks, so I of course wanted to feature the kitchen where she chefs up meals for her, John, and their 2 children. The marble countertops and black cabinetry give the room a Baroque yet comforting feel.

While Chrissy’s kitchen island is most likely real marble, this piece from Wayfair would be great for meal prep. Bonus points for having shelving underneath to store all of your favorite cookbooks!

Tom Brady’s Outdoor Patio

When Tom Brady isn’t winning Superbowls, he’s flipping homes with wife Gisele Bundchen. Although they live in Boston now, I love the patio and backyard of their former LA home.

You don’t need six Superbowl rings to have a swoon-worthy outdoor space like this, though! Check out some of these affordable options I found to create the look.
